Website Help

Website problem? Start with what you’re seeing.

Down, slow, warning message, broken page, missing access or something that changed — start with what you can see and we’ll help narrow down where to look.

Look underneath the symptom

Website problem — or something underneath it?

The thing you see in the browser is not always where the fault lives. It may sit in the site, hosting, DNS or domain, SSL, an external service or access to the setup.

The right next step starts with tracing the visible problem, not guessing which layer is to blame.

A sensible first look

A few simple observations can tell us where to look first.

Is the whole site affected or one page? Does it happen on another device or network? What exact warning do you see, and did anything change recently?

These clues help narrow the route. They are not an invitation to edit DNS, reinstall software or change a live site blindly.

Useful distinctions

The same visible problem can have different causes.

Down, slow or showing a warning?

The cause may sit in the website, hosting, domain, SSL or a connected service. A symptom does not automatically point to hosting.

Did it break after something changed?

A recent edit, update or integration is a useful clue. Repeated blind changes can make the real problem harder to see.

Start with what you still have.

Unknown hosting, lost access or an AI-built site can still be a sensible starting point. Show us the domain, site and information you have.

Choose the right kind of help

Hosting keeps the environment running. Website work looks after the site itself.

If the site needs a hosting destination, see Website Hosting. If the provider, domain or wider setup is tangled, start with Move to Griffin.
